The club is working with the working with the Stanford Alumni Association to organize an alumni branch of the Stanford Polo Club. All alumni should have recently received an email titled “Invitation for Alumni of Stanford Polo Club” containing more information about the effort and other current news. The newsletter is also posted below.
The Alumni Association will not allow us to continue contacting you through their system unless you express an interest in being part of the group. Please reply to stanfordpoloclub@lists.stanford.edu to join and continue to receive updates.

Dear Alumni of the Stanford Polo Club,
I hope this letter finds you well.
I am working with the Stanford Alumni Association to organize
an alumni branch of the Stanford Polo Club. Our goal is to allow
alumni to continue to ride, practice and associate with other
polo enthusiasts since you are the greatest store of the club’s
knowledge and experience. Let us know what we can do to improve
alumni relations and how you would like to be involved. This
could be as minimal as getting on the mailing list.

In Stanford Polo Club news, I am happy to report that the club
is in good health. This year we have had a record number or
donations including seven horses in the last six months. We
recently invested in a new Featherlite trailer for the Coolie
Truck that greatly increases our mobility. We will have sixteen
returning members in the fall and have arranged a demonstration
game at Red Barn to attract new members.
Other highlights to share…Club merchandise will soon be through
the Stanford Bookstore, including the locations on University
Avenue and in the Stanford Shopping Center, as well as online
through the bookstore website. This will be a great source of
publicity and give you as alumni and the general public easier
access to club merchandise.
Most exciting, the club is making progress towards getting a
new field built at Piers Ranch. Thanks to the generous support
of Jeff Graham and GSB professor George Parker, the project has
been sanctioned by both the Stanford Athletic Department and
Stanford Land Management. The club would have priority use of
the field and a full size arena and pasture space could be
included in the final plans.
